It feels like fall is in its last gasp ahead of a gloomy winter. Even with the naked trees, it is a gorgeous (sorry-not-sorry) view walking the rim right after sunrise (I still haven’t made it down to the gorge floor, one day!).

We went just after one of the tropical storms came through. They were doing a release, so the dam was open to capacity and the roar of the water impressed us all.
