Master Musicians of Bukkake

I saw Master Musicians of Bukkake (yeah, try forgetting that name) for the first time last month. Ian had been singing their praises for awhile and he was right: it was a mind-blowing experience. At that show, the stage was flooded with an eerie blue fog. The songs were hypnotic and they ended with a Roxy Music cover. Just amazing. When we saw them again this past week, the incense and smoke sticks were going, a menacing green cloud fell over everyone, and a terrifying deer slinked out of nowhere and started singing. I like to think the theme was ‘evil’ but I’m not very articulate about this stuff. Spooky serenades, weird trancey stuff, something out of a chaotic middle eastern bazaar… Like no other band you’ll see in Seattle.

    • I didn’t even know that they were playing Roxy Music until my friend told me afterwards. I feel bad that I can’t remember but I want to say In Every Dream Home a Heartache??
