August Wrap-Up

This is a bratty thing to say, but I’m glad this summer is over. The tragedy, stress, and bullshit was nutso! But looking on the bright side, Dean and I tied the knot TWICE with both of our families. It was fantastic and certainly, we’re grateful for those days. If life can be cheapened to a score, getting married definitely cancels out half a dozen points on the stress/bullshit side. As for the other Herculean tasks, I’m just relieved we barreled through those unscathed.

I have a lot to look forward to in September: my best friend James Messina is finally moving out to Seattle- omigod, he gets in TODAY. There are ten birthdays between my co-workers and friends! Next week is my last week of overtime for awhile. Ooooh, Autumn, I’m glad you’re here.

  1. I really like Fruli but I absolutely love Kreik Lambic! I’m not sure I would have it for breakfast though!
Congrats on tying the knot and here’s to looking forward to the autumn/winter months! xo

    • Oooo, just looked up Kriek Lambic. I love Belgian beers and fruity flavors so I’ll have to seek it out next time. Mmm. Happy future months to you too!

  2. I just spent 20 minutes (no exaggeration) trying to figure out what the picture of you and Dean and Nate reminded me of. I know I have a similar image on a record sleeve somewhere around here. It’s driving me nuts, but I’ve decided to give up for now.

    Congratulations on your marriage.

  3. Hello! You’re MARRIED! Congratulations :D So glad it all went well – I can’t even begin to imagine how complicated it would be organising not one but two weddings, trans-atlantic no less! I hope you had wonderful wedding days and I’m really glad they cancelled out some of the crap that’s happened recently x x

    • Thank you! Being married rules. The weddings were the least of our worries this summer- our families made things as easy as possible. :)

Can’t wait to hear more about your new studies!
