My early dessert: a candied yam cupcake with toasted marshmallow frosting, a strong cup of Earl Grey.
This weekend, I met up with Eric and Nate for ‘study session’ on the hill. I should probably clarify that none of us actually study anything… the name just sorta stuck! It’s a time each Sunday where we meet up and work on our individual projects. For me, this is anything from knitting, editing photos, or reading. We’ve been meeting almost every weekend since August and I can’t tell you how helpful it’s been. I’m a terrible procrastinator- the Queen of Weekend Loafers- so it’s nice having a set time to get going.
Cupcake Royale is one of our favorite spots. It’s roomy, PINK, and laid back. I’m totally into their pop playlist (Prince, Janet Jackson, and Salt-n-Pepa this time) and it doesn’t hurt that I love cute cupcakes. Their November flavor is candied yam which is mind blowing- a real comfort cupcake. :)
Ah, I’d been wondering what you were “studying”! Sounds like a great idea. It must be nice to have a bunch of creative friends to hang out with and be crafty :)
It is, I’m lucky! :D
mmmm! toasted marshmallow! its seems too good to be true:p
I’d never tried a frosting alternative like it before! I love cupcakes but sometimes the frosting is too much for me- this was perfect. Mmm.
