“The Owls Are Not What They Seem.”

Our jack o lantern!

Dean and I love owls. They are majestic creatures to be sure, but I’m afraid we’re guilty of loving them especially as cute, kitschy home art. We’ve unintentionally collected about a dozen pieces of owl paraphernalia including figurines, tea pots, toothbrush holders, and a lantern. I guess there’s just something about them that suits every craft-y interpretation!

A couple snapshots from earlier in the day:

Ha, I really like our holiday family portrait but we had to move quick since Schnitzel’s camera shy. We bribed him with bonita flakes.

Schnitzel shows the new pumpkin who’s boss.

  1. Wow, your pumpkin’s amazing! My pumpkin has been sat staring at me, blank-faced, for a week already, I just can’t think what to do with him! I was going to make him into a pie but I haven’t been organised enough to embark upon such an epic carving-and-baking extravaganza.

    Cute family photo, too :)

  2. What a beautiful family! My boyfriend, Aaron, and I haven’t carved a pumpkin yet. I think we are leaning towards a Jason mask with a Halloween greeting.
