This is, hands down, the best pancake house I’ve ever been to. It’s slightly hidden so the fact that I first spotted it by chance on the way to Bellevue makes it extra-special. Chace’s opened over fifty years ago and you get the impression they’ve kept it largely unchanged- it’s so charming and homey (family photos on the walls, jelly beans at the register). Our waitress was outstanding- friendly and attentive. The portions are generous and the price is modest. I really can’t say enough good things. This is my dream-come-true diner!
That’s Kristy and Nate on the left. I don’t think any of us like waking up early on the weekends but we’re definitely breakfast enthusiasts.
Here’s my order of pigs in a blanket. The pancakes were fluffy and buttery, the sausages inside were wonderful. It was topped with the perfect amount of apple compote and sugar. I started off with hot chocolate, which was served under a delicious mountain of whipped cream. Mmmm, I drool at the memory. Can’t wait to go back!
