This is the third movie in Peter Morgan’s Tony Blair series (presumably, it’s also the last?), taking place between 1992 and 2001. Michael Sheen reprises his role as Blair and Dennis Quaid co-stars as Bill Clinton. I enjoyed it well enough but it’s not as captivating as The Deal or The Queen. Call it mild disappointment: events were rolled out in a plain, episodic manner and no one moment was particularly illuminating. This is not a criticism of the actors who are all spot-on, their performances are reason enough to watch. I especially loved Hope Davis in the role of Hillary Clinton. Holy shit, talk about inspired casting!
